03 Mar 2015 Oscars Margot Robbie Make-Up Look

2015 award season has come to an end and what a season it was, from gorgeous gowns to the hottest new beauty trends. I was inspired by most female celebrities and their ability to take risks and pull off just about any beauty look. There were so many beautiful actresses walking the red carpet this season with amazing hair and make up, but what really drew my attention was our Aussie girl Margot Robbie, once a cast member on Neighbours and now an international success. This blonde bombshell has really come a long way in the past three years from starring in her first major movie role in The Wolf of Wall Street starring alongside Hollywood heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio to now starring in the next Hollywood blockbuster Focus with Will Smith. To say she is lucky would be an understatement, this girl is the next Hollywood sensation and luck is far from it, our Aussie girl has some major talent.

When Margot Robbie walked the red carpet for the 2015 Oscars she had heads turning, but it was her gorgeous new sleek, glossy blonde bob and velvety red lips that stole hearts at the Oscars. The actress opted for short lightly tousled tresses and went for modern Hollywood glamour with an effortless twist. With velvety red lips and a warm smoky eye.

Here is how to get Hollywood glamour with Margot Robbie’s 2015 Oscar Beauty look:

Foundation: To achieve that flawless base and perfect skin use an illuminating primer and matte foundation. (BECCA Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector $66, Revlon Colorstay Foundation $25).

Cheeks: Margot’s cheek bones were lightly contoured nothing harsh just enough to make her cheek bones pop, so opt for a light contouring shade. (MAC Harmony blush $41) Margot’s make up was kept quite simple because the main attention is drawn to her intense cherry pout so little colour was used on the face. For blush opt for something natural and light. (MAC Lovecloud blush $41).

Eyes: To achieve that warm smoky eye you want, use matte brown and taupe shades, this will define the eye without it looking too smoky and intense. (Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics Eyeshadow Palette $51.70) Margot’s lashes were kept natural with a few coats of mascara but if you are someone lacking long luscious lashes then you’ll want to add some falsies. To keep the eyes natural but defined use individual lashes (Ardell DuraLash Individual Flare Lashes Medium Black 1.0 $9.99).

Lips: Margot’s lips stole the show with her velvety red pout and every girl out there who watched Miss Robbie walk the red carpet wanted to know what brand the actress was wearing. Margot’s makeup artist Tyron Macchausen used Hourglass’s Opaque Rouge Liquid lipstick in Raven $38 the famous lipstick that sold out immediately after the Oscars.
